Li Chuzhe sighed, sinking onto the couch beside him, doing his best to keep distance from the flashy women nearby. "You gave it to me—what’s so great about it?"

Every time Li Chuzhe thought about his birthday, that guy always found a way to torment him. On his twentieth birthday, Mo Boyu had gifted him a clingy dog—still living in his house today. Every time he walked through the door, the dog would pounce on his face, licking furiously like it was trying to erase all memory of his absence.

And every year after that, the same thing happened: Mo Boyu sent him some new, troublesome creature. But Li Chuzhe had an ironclad sense of responsibility. No matter how ridiculous the gift, he treated each one with serious care.

Mo Boyu smirked, then waved his hands dismissively at the women beside him and clapped once. Moments later, a line of bunny girls filed into the private room, each holding a delicate gift box.

"Let’s begin," Mo Boyu said, his grin sharp and dangerous, the kind of smirk that never lost its edge.

At his command, the bunny girls lined up along the wall, starting from the far right. One by one, they opened their boxes. Inside were lavish pieces of jewelry—some rare enough to be long gone from the market—and even vintage perfumes that hadn’t been available in decades.

Mo Boyu looked proud, as if he’d just pulled off something heroic. "What do you think? I’m awesome, right? Your wife’ll love these. She’ll be thrilled."

Li Chuzhe glanced around the room. "Why should I care if she’s happy? Still… thanks. I’ll take it."

In his bedroom, Tang Yan tapped away at his keyboard, the crisp rhythm of keys echoing through the empty space.

【Morning Sun. Given your recent marriage mission was completed so swiftly, the organization is assigning you a new task.
This Friday night, there’s a banquet at the Song family estate. Infiltrate their computer system and retrieve evidence of their illegal drug trafficking.】

【Received.】

Tang Yan began searching for information on the Song family. The Song, Mo, and Li families were the three most powerful clans in Qingcheng. Among them, the Li family held the top position. For years, the Song family had been secretly smuggling drugs and illicit pharmaceuticals—using the profits to expand their influence and strengthen their wealth at the Li family’s expense.

All this came from Tang Yan’s own hacking into parts of the Song family’s corporate networks. But so far, the real proof remained locked deep within the main household’s systems—too well-guarded, too paranoid.

He’d prepared everything—except one thing: an invitation to the Song family’s event. Invitations were rare, harder to get than even those from the Li family. Probably because they were afraid of being caught.

Just when Tang Yan was scratching his head, a noise came from downstairs—someone returning. Likely Li Chuzhe.

"Master," the butler murmured, bowing slightly. "You seem a bit tipsy."

Li Chuzhe’s cheeks were flushed. Tang Yan took one look and instantly felt a jolt—*I want to mess with this gorgeous man.*

Li Chuzhe waved a hand, annoyed, and started climbing the stairs, fingers fumbling with his tie. As he reached the top, he nearly collided with Tang Yan, who stood in loose pajamas, bathed in soft light. The curve of Tang Yan’s collarbone gleamed under the glow.

Tang Yan hadn’t expected such a scene. The tie was half-undone, breath shallow, body radiating heat.

Li Chuzhe’s eyes darkened. His Adam’s apple bobbed sharply as he turned away, stepping quickly toward the nearest bathroom.

"What’s with that look? Seriously? Staring at me like that? Keep it up, and I’ll lock you in my room!" Tang Yan muttered to himself, arms flailing in the air, face twisting comically.

Fuming, he returned to his room and resumed digging into the Song family files. Lost in work, he barely registered the knock at his door.

"Tang Miss? Do you have a moment? We could talk?" Li Chuzhe stood outside, polite, composed—like a gentleman from another era.

"Sure." Tang Yan rose and opened the door. There stood Li Chuzhe, dressed in sleek black silk pajamas so smooth they looked like skin. His muscles rippled subtly beneath the fabric.

Tang Yan’s stomach dropped.

"Come with me," Li Chuzhe said, turning and walking down the hall toward a private study.

The room was filled with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, perfectly aligned, dust-free. The walls were deep charcoal, solemn and dignified. Two massive blank canvases hung on opposite sides—empty, waiting.

Li Chuzhe gestured for Tang Yan to sit across from him. Then, from a drawer, he pulled out the pre-written prenuptial agreement Tang Yan had drafted earlier and slid it across the table.

"Tang Yan, I’ve read your prenup. Made a few changes in red. Take a look. If it works for you, we can sign."

Tang Yan’s long fingers gently flipped through the pages. Several clauses had been rewritten. For example: Clause 35 originally stated that if either party found someone else, the marriage would dissolve, and Tang Yan—the woman—would leave with nothing.

Now, it read: *If Tang Yan leaves, regardless of who initiates it, Li Chuzhe must pay her one-fifth of his total assets.*

Every clause that had favored Li Chuzhe before was now rewritten to benefit him even more. Tang Yan frowned. "Li Chuzhe… why did you change all of this? You were supposed to be the one getting the advantage."

"No," Li Chuzhe said calmly, tapping the table with his pale fingers. "A prenup is inherently unfair to you. If things ever go south, this is just… compensation."

"Ready to sign?" Tang Yan looked down again—only to find Li Chuzhe had already signed at the bottom.

Still, doubt lingered. Some of the terms went too far. If pushed legally, Tang Yan would walk away with the bigger share. "Are you sure you read all of this?"

"Yeah," Li Chuzhe said lightly. "I’m a businessman. I don’t waste time on deals that won’t pay off."

That casual tone finally eased Tang Yan’s nerves.

After signing, Li Chuzhe answered a phone call.

"Hello? Song family? When? Okay."

Just three words. Clean. Direct.

Tang Yan’s ears perked up at the mention of the Song family.

Li Chuzhe glanced at him, as if weighing something in his mind. "Tang Yan… this Friday, I have a gala to attend. Will you come with me? It’s a good chance to introduce you to everyone."
